Privacy policy
Last updated 15 September 2026
Privacy is the whole point of Lami Didi, so here’s exactly what I collect, why, who can see it, and how to delete it. In this policy, “I” and “me” mean Lami Didi (lamididi.com). Questions? Email info@lamididi.com.
What I collect
- Your login
- Your email address, for login codes and emails. If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google also shares your name and profile picture, but I only use your email.
- Your Vibe Card
- Your nickname, birthday (shown as your age), city, what you’re looking for, work field, and your fun answers, like dal bhat, music and green flag.
- Matching answers
- Your gender, who you want to meet, the age range you want, drinks, kids, diet, and your dealbreakers.
- Private answers, if you choose to give them
- Religion, caste, gotra and visa status. You can skip any of them.
- Photos and a selfie
- Up to three photos, a blurred copy I make of each one, and one selfie so I can check you’re real.
- What you do here
- Who you like or skip, your matches and chats, contacts you swap, and anyone you block or report.
- Ask Lami Didi questions
- Only the words you type. No name or email is attached, so I can’t tell who asked.
The quiz and the Jodi Meter run in your browser. I don’t save your answers to them.
Who sees what
- People you’re shown to
- Your nickname, age, city, what you’re looking for, work field, fun answers and blurred photos. Never your email, private answers or selfie.
- Your matches
- Your clear photos and your chat. Your contact details only if you both tap “Swap contacts”.
- Me, Lami Didi
- Your Vibe Card, photos and selfie, so I can check you’re real, plus any reports. My admin tools never show private answers or chats.
- Nobody
- Your private answers. Only the matching uses them, on the server, and they’re never shown to anyone.
How I use it
- Matching: your answers, dealbreakers and private answers decide who you see and who sees you.
- Verification: I compare your selfie with your photos to check you’re a real person.
- Emails: login codes, plus “you’re verified”, “someone likes you”, “it’s a match” and a selfie reminder. You can turn off like and match emails on My Vibe Card.
- Safety: reports and blocks help me remove anyone who makes others feel unsafe.
I don’t sell your data, I don’t show ads, and I don’t use tracking or analytics tools.
Services that help me run the site
These companies store or send your data for me, only to provide their service:
- Supabase: stores your account, answers, photos, selfie and chats, and handles logins. All of it is stored in Sydney, Australia.
- Hostinger: runs the website.
- Brevo: sends login codes.
- Resend: sends all other emails.
- Google: only if you choose “Continue with Google”.
Some of them are based overseas, including in the US and Europe, so your data may be handled outside Australia and Nepal.
Cookies and your browser
Login cookies keep you logged in. Your browser also remembers your vibe check answers for up to an hour, so you don’t lose them before saving, and that I just sent you a code, for 15 minutes. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
How long I keep it
- Your account and everything in it: until you delete it.
- Who was shown to whom each day: 10 days.
- Reports you made: if you delete your account, they stay without your name, so I can keep everyone safe.
- Technical logs, like IP addresses: the services above keep these for a short time, for security.
Deleting your account
Go to My Vibe Card and tap “Delete my account”. Your card, private answers, photos, selfie, matches and chats are deleted straight away. Can’t log in? Email info@lamididi.com from the address you signed up with, and I’ll delete it for you.
Your choices
- Change your answers any time by redoing your vibe check.
- Remove photos on My Vibe Card.
- Turn off like and match emails on My Vibe Card.
- Email me for a copy of your data, or to fix anything I got wrong.
Not happy with how I’ve handled your data? Email me first. In Australia, you can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
18+ only
Lami Didi is only for people aged 18 and over. Accounts belonging to anyone younger are closed.
Changes to this policy
If I change this policy, I’ll update the date at the top. For big changes, I’ll also let members know on the site.
